Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre Gandoca Manzanillo

This park has breathtaking mix of coastal rainforest, white‑sand beaches, mangrove swamps, and vibrant coral reef tucked along Costa Rica’s southern Caribbean coast. The hike to Punta Manzanillo is short 20 minutes from the entrance with stunning reef filled shoreline with natural pools and sand beaches filled with hermit crabs. There are also caves that can be accessed at low tide.

Parque Nacional Cahuita

Just a short drive from your stay, Cahuita National Park is one of Costa Rica’s most beloved coastal treasures. Known for its white-sand beaches, calm turquoise waters, and beautiful reef, this park is a must-visit for guests seeking a mix of nature, wildlife, and relaxation. There are always animals to see like this two-toed sloth and her baby. There are 3 types of monkeys that can be found in the park including the howler, capuchin, and spider monkeys. The walk is flat and there are great spots to swim along the way.

A short 2 km from the house is Cocles beach which stretches from Punta Cocles to Playa Chiquita. There is good surf most of the year with a beautiful sand beach where you can catch a sunset at one of the restaurants or walking along the beach trail. Soak up the beauty!
